conventional means of recrystallizing mdma citrates using ipa acetone fail due to it's solubility in acetone .
a more workable solution has been attained
ctric acid food grade is usually anhydrous having a f.w of 196.4 for every g/mole of mdma base add 1/2 mole of citric acid dissolve in ipa use excess citric acid.
the ip will dissolve the mdma citrate and leave the unreate citric acid undissolved the mdma salt can then be rinsed of the acid with a little ipa (anhydrous)
reduce the volume of the ipa by evaporation and mdma citrate will crstalize from this alone this provides a convenient procedure for preparing mdma citrate.
one caveat the hyrates seem to interfere with crystalization make sure your base is free of water and the alcohol is dry too.
i can't seem to get complete crops and have to resort to rpeated crystallizations ether did'nt help either I think hydrates are the culprit it's tricky.
