Robinia neomexicana
« on: March 04, 2010, 05:38:53 AM »
I am interested in knowing more about this plant -- I think if you look at its chemicals, you'll see why. :) Something about it seems rather useful.. perhaps it is that it contains heliotropine? I dunno...

Before it is of any real interest though, we need to find out how much heliotropine it contains. I can't find a single reference about it... Can you? It seems to grow just about everywhere that other useful plants don't.

Well I found one mention of the plant in a journal article :o but it looks to be about as useful as tits on a bull as regards giving us heliotropine levels.

Thank you, well that is to bad it doesn't contain an interesting amount in it. I don't know of any plants that do either.

Perhaps I should clarify since on a second reading my post isnt as clear as it should be, I meant the article doesn't give any useful info. I don't want to write the plant off as a source too hastily.
