new home
« on: March 06, 2010, 08:14:32 PM »
hello new family!
my story: started at rhodiums archive (it disappeared) as chunk-a-delic, then went onto wd reloaded as chunk-a-delic then due to my paranoid shcizo tendencies, dropped the nym chunk-a-delic and picked captainrush, then thanx to sedit (one of my personal heros, along with hands clean) I found this glorious site. theres so much advanced knowledge and so few dumbass MA dopefiends (no offense to MA, just to the snb idiots that give us a bad name). this place is a haven to me, so if yall don't mind my occasional tangential posts and almost annoying hunger for knowledge I would like to make this site my new home. don't worry I won't leave a mess in the kitchen and ill take off my shoes when I come in. btw is handsclean or nightlife still still around?

Welcome, glad you like the place. I have no idea if they are still around. If they are, someone ought to invite them here. eh?

You have no chance to be respected by society. That has already been destroyed by the twelve minute meth cooks, the tweakers, and the great unwashed...

Accept it. Strive for something other than respect.

Quality product comes to mind....

Geez, I have NO issue with cooking methamphetamine at all & you know that, but the discussion @WD has reached abysmal levels of pointlessness. Chi is not even stepping in any more, its like the old place just lost its mojo man :'( FFS I could write a topic on making hydrogenation catalysts using fermented strawberries, liquid nail polish - brilliant gold by whoever the fuck (accept no imitations) and sundry other items, include a detailed writeup, couple of pictures off web, and be a legend in minutes...

The fact it wouldn't work and is utter bullshit wouldn't bother anyone (given the dust in the inorganic section over there atm it probably wouldn't be read for a month), but the level of chemistry is such that people would just nod their head and accept what they don't know as gold. That shits me, I learned chemistry through WD (and the hive and SM, etc.). I did so, partly by trial and error, partly by being flamed (HARD) for fucking up.

I can relate all too well. I must be just a few years behind you. Although I have moved past the point of thinking all chemistry is contained online and now spend quite a few hours reading chem and biochem books at my local university.... I almost forgot what WD stood for, wonder if I can even remember my password anymore.

Its sad and painful that my first home at wd was broke up then over run by people shaking 2 liters (nothing against that scientific development, it just shouldnt have been released to the public). the LiBrnz is still very usueful for working with styrene but that shoulda stayed at SM or hidden. Geez your right I have lost the expectation of respect and I am learning to accept that. So where do I go from here? capitalism?
