Flash intro

Thinking about making a flash intro, and thought about making one for this site. I'm just bored during the summer. If I made a good one would u guys use it?

We'll see... Personally, I hate flash intros with a bloody passion, unless they're sleek, subtle, and most importantly, relevant. I've been surprised before, though, so let's see what you come up with. Maybe we could get together on some sort of a flash logo instead of an intro... For example, all that lab glass up there... What do you think it would it look like if it was all happily bubbling away, with the stirrer on high.... Smile

I usually think that flash intros are cool the first time I enter a site. After that, they usually just annoy me, and I try to find the "skip intro" button as fast as I can. In my experience, I like the ability to acces BB sites quickly, so I can see what's new and get the hell out if there is nothing interesting (why I like super scrolling marquee thing). I usually do this several times a day.

I do think it could be cool if the logo was "all happily bubbling away, with the stirrer on high...." as long as it doesn't interfere with the performance of the site.

You could make it anyway. It would be a good learning experience, and maybe there would be a link to it for people who like that sort of thing.

Maybe this would make a good poll if people will respond.

Yea i was really thinking about doing something with the glassware, something tastful, and maybe flashing a couple of animated reaction mechanisms. I have loads of glassware clipart from chem Draw, thinking about animating the bee as well.

just as long as its sleek and compact... theres nothing that kills site hits greater than a front page that takes ages to load...
