can phenyl mercuric chloride be subsitiuted for pheynl magnesium chloride? under going a grignard type reaction in ether? the mercurics are usually less reactive but lets say swim had access to this compound.

also how hazardous is this, obviously not to nice but are we talking the same level as say dimethyl mercury? is rubber gloves and a fume hood adequate.

any tips for workup procedures to insure all mercuric compounds are removed?
