Can other peracids be used to make ketones other than performic or peracetic acids, like say perboric acid ? Also methods for producing other peracids what are are they?
Could someone post a overview of peracid production and overview of ketone production. |

| UTMFSE.....Boric acid complexes are common throughout the literature. There are already plenty of write-ups on formations and RXNs. |

perboric? bit exotic i dont know, why not just use performic or peracetic? so much easier to get your hands on.
Peracids are carboxylic acids with hydrogen peroxide UTFSE.
Peracid and ketone reaction, UTFSE and check the rhodium archive.

Take a look at the Perborate/Percarbonate Review in the Rhodim archive. These form the peracids insitu cooresponding to the carboxylic acid used. They are safe, cheap and easy to store and work with.
Perbenzoic is sometimes used. Never saw a procedure using perboric if it even exists |
