Synthetikal's official stance on Religion and Politics

Here's the deal:
If you post a topic, or reply to one, in a manner which deals heavily with religion and/or politics, and serves no purpose other than to either 1) press your belief/ideal or 2) incite dissent, either it will be immediately deleted and you will be banned from posting in this forum, or you will be ridiculed for being ignorant of board policy, and maybe we'll ban you anyway. We have had far too much trouble with users arguing with each other over these topics, and then having the negative results manifest themselves in threads which have nothing to do with them. This is counter-productive in every sense of the word and we, as a whole, have no reason to allow this self-destructive behaviour to continue any longer than it has already.
This is an announcement, so it will be the first thing you see when you come in this forum. If you fail to read this, and disobey the above mandate, you will have your posting privileges in this forum revoked without warning until further notice. Consider this fair warning. If you have personal issues as to why this is a rule, feel free to discuss the matter via PM with a moderator or administrator.

Ahem!!!
It was Friday night on "Friday Night Online"
------------> THE POST WAS A FUCKING JOKE!! <----------------
I can't believe that nobody saw through this.
Do you actually believe that John Hagee would be visiting this site, even make a post?? Don't you think he isn't too busy counting his money??
Do you honestly believe, christian or not, that that post was meant seriously?
The very last thing it was meant for is sparking up some half-assed discussion about religion.
Sarcasm, I believe, is the name of that particular form of humour.
Jesus.... |

Looks like the real world has become sarcastic in so many ways that people easily mix up sarcasm with reality. The thought of some forum member registering as 'Pastor John Hagee' for a good joke came to my mind when I had read your post but the thrill of finding out how I would react to such an, pardon, insult, were it real, was too tempting for me, so you got the reply you deserved : )
well done

As a realigious american white male I'm deaply concerned about your policy at this forum. Why is religion forbidden? It is a big blow to the freedom of speach, if one can not discuss politics and religion, what is one supposed to discuss? There are chemistry forums for chemistry discussions, so natural question follows: Is one only allowed to discuss sports in the Friday Night Online forum?
God don't bless (I guess) |

Religion and politics are forbidden topics because they are never productive discussions. They always cause somebody to become pissed, and then somebody else has to defend what they've said, and since (especially with religion) these topics are based on deep personal beliefs, nobody's mind gets changed, and people just get angry about the whole thing. Especially me, because I have to go and clean up all the shit that comes out of these things.

Right. And there are religious forums for religious discussions.

Use your imagination. I'm sure you can come up with something. |

this just in:
bush is done.
its the end of an era (error?) in the united states.
renquist is dead, but bush may as well bee.
all it took was some hot air, moving very fast, and bush's hot air turned into nothing at all.
rejoice, friends.
and sorry about this appearance of politics. doesn't matter now. |
