Advice Needed for (yet another) Newbee

Could anyone give me some advice on what books i could buy to learn basic lab proceedures and to learn about such terms as the following - 'refluxing' - 'the solvent was removed' - 'distilled in a vacumn' - 'washed out' - 'extracted' basification' etc....
I hope i dont get flamed for posting this but i want to buy some books to cover these subjects but i dont know where to start or what books would be worthwhile and what books would be a waste of cash.
If someone could give me the benefit of their experience i would appreciate it.
Thankyou

| Grab a beginner-level organic chemistry textbook from your local University, or order something from amazon. That ought to at least get you up to speed. |

now that i think about it I have yet to see a book with just glass rigs
for all organic reactions.
theres that organic survival manual by zubrick (i think)
then Organic synthises 1 - 5 has a few setups in it.
these would probably cover most of the way to anything
near what is done here.
these books can be found in a university or ordered online.
i would take a long look at ketene lamps if thinking of aquiring
a lab setup. there were quite a few plans floating on the hive for these.
AA is a lot more usefull than just p2p |
