Abstract
This book provides an overview of recent applications of color chemistry. It reflects developments in the areas of colorants for textiles, paints, and inks, and in newer technologies involving photodynamic therapy, electroluminescent displays, artificial photosynthesis, holographic data storage, and photonics. Particular attention is given to color change materials, materials which absorb and reflect light, luminescent phenomena, materials which absorb light and transfer energy, and phenomena involving the manipulation of light by chemicals. Bamfield is a consultant.
