board downtime - signs of activity...?

This habit of exceeding bandwith resulting in board downtime... am I being paranoid or is this readily explainable?

My thoughts began to wander.... such a thing may happen through the medium of, perhaps, an automated spider download of the entire site....

just my $0.02, whdya reckon?

I think the reasons behind it are probably benign in nature, but I have nothing to back that up with other than a gut feeling. It certainly seems plausible that our bandwidth was exceeded by normal means, but without the access that Syn is withholding, I can't tell how much we're using, or where, or at what times, or anything else.

Do you reckon its time to start a new-forum somewhere else? You need full control of a forum, especially with our hobby.

Yes, yes I do. Unfortunately, I have little time, and even less cash to put into this project. I wish this were easier, but hey, there's a million things about life that I could say that for.

man o man. synth still havent gave up control of this site??? sounds so damn fishy! i can think of 2 reasons - either he got in trouble with LE and is now compensating for it
via working wiht LE and giving them contorl of the board,
or he actually realized that he iwll get trouble from LE and decided it doesnt matter to him and he wants to continue supporting the board...

either way i think this board is fried... posting increminating material here would not be wise..........
