yes/no to MSM...and/or potential imposters...?

OK fellas/femellas, SWIM got some sheet here that is kind of a chunky crystalline consistency (bit of cleavage, but not nearly to the degree of the usual brand acquired/known/loved...some angular, but some more "chunky") that is quite moist with lots of teeny chunks and one BIG one that is ~1g (just so's it's known that it was probably all big at some point, though not sure...thought it might make a difference). Anyhow, SWIM is used to quality and usually puts substance in personal vaporization chamber for heating/inhalation, applies heat while rolling said chamber and varying heat (so's not reach BP of some B4 reaching MP of rest), then lets it "come back" (reset/cool/harden). At this point it usually is somewhere between clear-milky-ish and off-white with striations thruout (kinda like a lollypop). But this-a-here looks more like a "frosted" glass window (or one of those blurry types that seems to have little blurry cells within the glass, the edges of which are not quite define-able), and is remarkably translucent. And here's the kicker...SWIM's been more familiar than SWIM cares to be in the past w/ MSM and its tendency to burn off first, and condense around the top of the vaporizing chamber, then evaporate completely and sometimes leave behind a faint white residue, and SWIM KNOWS the "watery cabbage, but kinda sweet" taste and smell of vaporized MSM, along with its tendency to create thick vapor when heated for inhalation that is suddenly non-existant upon exhalation. This-a-here smells and tastes just like MSM (and STRONGLY, at that), but still produces a fully thick vapor cloud (even when exhaling), and comes back kinda strange at first, but then after a few times of heating it, completely normal with the striations and all (but still the smell and taste of MSM just as strong as before). Anyone know if there is a rip-off involved here or what this offending substance could be? Confused
