Cetirizine hcl in PE pills

SWIM finally found some pills in his country which contain 120mg PE but also Cetirizine hcl as an active ingredient.
Other stuff listed: croscarmellose sodium, silicium dioxide, magnesium stearate and cellulose.
What would be the ideal extraction tek for this pills?

Cetirizine is unfortunatly pretty soluble in water
http://www.rxlist.com/cgi/generic/cetiriz.htm
The package reads pseudoephedrine hydrochlorid (retard) which makes me wonder if a quick wash with water would remove only the cetirizine and leaves most of the pe behind.. !? (probably a stupid newbee idea)
Sadly this combination seems to be the only available otc pills in SWIMs country with more than 15mg/pill :'(
Any ideas?

| Pseudoephedrine is very soluable in water, so water is not good to wash the pill mass. It will also dissolve all of your pfed. The key is to find something that will dissolve Cetirizine, but not pfed. Something like acetone. Is Cetirizine soluable in acetone? Once that is removed, the STBIII proceedure would likely be a clean extraction route. |

Yes.. i know.. i thought, because the package says that the pfed is "retardiert" it is somehow "wrapped" inside stuff that slowly dissolves releasing the pfed over time and the Cetirizin hcl "schnell freisetzend" (fast dissolving) would instantly dissolve in water.. forget it
The only information i could find about cetirizin says that it is soluble in water.
Granted that it's not soluble in alcohol, would it be possible to dissolve the pfed (together with the other alcohol soluble stuff) in dried alcohol, then evaporating the alcohol to proceed with the STBIII procedure? |

Ill give u an advice , stay away from these pills , there are others with 50 mg pe
but those ( i know them very well) are pure evil !
Theyll gaak up if u expose them to the slightest drop of water and there must be some ugly polymer inside preventing the freebased pe to dry ...
So i came to the conclusion after several attempts to get the stuff out ,..
its just not worth it those pills cost a damned lot ( 14$ /28 ) and when ur really lucky ull gain 20% yield ... so dont try to mess with em if it can be avoided |
