I have been experiencing intermittent lower back pain for quite some time. I happen to have some flexability issues with my lower back which causes the pain. It hurts to get out of bed or out of a car sometimes. I am very active and pretty flexible for the most part.

Anyway, I wanted to go to the physician's and use this to my advantage. Does anyone here have any experience aquiring opiates from a physician? I am sure they will try to give me tylenol 3's at first but how do I go about requesting anything stronger? (I'm hoping for meperidine or dilaudid but this is probably just a silly fantasy... Smile )

if your doc is cool tell him/her what works for ya,
they should hook you up bro.
Back problems can take years to surface.
most likly you'll get a hydocodone"if in USA" but then again cool DOC's
tell them what works for ya. if they ask how ya know tell them a friend help'd ya out when you was at thier home and yous limbar went out..
sounds funny but works .

SWIM's doctor definitely isn't cool like that although he does give out hydrocodone cough syrup upon request. Go to a specialist or general practice? Doctor surf? SWIM used to me good at coercing shrinks for dex and desoxyn. Used to hit up others for Xanax. Now that SWIM has been out of the pharm/doctor game for some time, SWIM has lost his skills.

back pain isn't something you want to mask with opiates. under their influence, one is inclined towrds 2 stupid paths:

1. carry on with whatever heavy lifting/ bad posture shit you got going on, ignoring the sane signals from the brain
2. lay around in bed and get even stiffer and weaker.

opiates are for fun!
don't use them for pain relief.
for that, you need anti-inflamatory stuff, and even that, in small doses.
heavy pain killers are best used when one is in hospice care.

I don't do heavy lifting... more strength and endurance style. I also do yoga as well. I wan't getting the pills for the back pain per se. I was getting them for those long weekends where I have time to get a little sedated. I was just using my current back prob as a way to aquire them. My back is under control now that I've been doing more yoga and getting away from dumbell/barbell weights. The days where it is a little sore, it is quite bearable. Smile Thanks for your concern, though. Very Happy

the alchemist,

swiy has done this before. see-n that you've had prior back problems.
Means you'll have some paper work. Swiy had found some online pharmacies where he sent them copies of his past injuries talk'd the the doc over the phone told them he still gets pain. well they kick him out some strong prescriptions but they where pricie.
Just an idea
