SWIM has a question of fellow bees about batch inconsistencies, specifically using Aluminum-Mercury Reduction of Imine From P2P and Methylamine. With reaction conditions, procedure, and variables all the same, SWIM’s candy always varies in potency!.

Also SWIM has also not managed to create the true high quality base that sends the test pilot into -----euphoric subspace Shocked The plane takes off, but remains within range of the nagging ground control.

SWIM is wondering is this may be due to inconsistencies in the P2P or in the reaction itself?? The P2P and ---- free base is always washed and distilled to utmost purity before use…
