The Hive Files

www.synthetikal.com/hiveboard/index.html

This latest archive is 3 or 4 times the size of the last one,
So enjoy, soon this link will be on our front page,

Update search engine is now working, plus it can now search our whole site, and give you the best chance of finding your document

The watchers site has gone down, and no longer contains any hive or rhod files
Make sure you access the hive-files through the top link.

and be sure you go to Nubee's Page www.mfi.synthetikal.com for all your downloads

I've had pretty good results with ht://Dig,

http://www.htdig.org/

- certainly better than The Hive's search engine. Can be configured to scan pdf's, doc's, etc. too.

yes yes, knowing everything before looking at it, hm??

The link contained in the first post above is NOT an archivated version of Rhodium's archive, but a copy of virtually all Hive threads...

(maybe first look and then decide if you have to add anything next time, hm?) Laughing

I can't speak for Java, but I speculate that unless whoever graciously donated the hive files to us, happened to also save every picproxy image, I doubt we will ever be able to post the picproxy images to their respective posts. I may be way off here, I have "limited" [read:absolutely none whatsoever] computer knowledge.

So to answer your question (at least from my standpoint) the "fucking" pic proxy files are on the hive server somewhere. Perhaps the picproxy files can be sent to you and you could manually enter each one of them into their respective posts.

If your interested, don't contact us, we'll contact you..... Wink

Hopefully a moderator with more knowledge in this subject will be able to more completely answer your question. I just needed to post something that would prevent you from asking the same question three times in a row. Cool

much love,

If you can't find the thread you are looking for, it is possible that your search query is badly worded. Just as likely, though, is that your thread was never archived. The archive is obviously incomplete. Look at "Chemistry Discourse" for example. There's 57 pages of threads with 25 threads per page... but I am sure that forum contained more than 1425 threads total.

It looks like the picproxie docs are working now. See for example https://www.synthetikal.com/hiveboard/chemistrydiscourse/000540978.html and click on the PDF or DjVu files.

Polverone:
Nobody said that the Hive archives were complete, if that was we would not have both links, or say this ,

Just a thought,
Sorry, but i can't help noticing this negative attitude you have in your posts, Why?

I wanted to point out that the picproxie docs were online now - hurray! and explain why it might be hard to find favorite threads. Earlier the archive was described as "a copy of virtually all Hive threads..." which is a bit of an overstatement. I aim to make useful comments when I can and remain silent when I can't.

Hm - I think the description "virtually all hive threads..." was made by me, during the first wave of excitation I experienced when I saw them the first time... Smile

(sorry for the inconvenience)

You don't think it might be a problem for the server, if many here around will try to save a private copy of those files?
