I tried to hand type the absract from the text w/o OCR. This proved to be a waste of time, at least with my current time constraints.

In short the document describes some rapid high yielding oxidations of organic substrates (namely THF ---> GBL)(Benzyl Alcohol ---> Benzaldehyde) using high valent Ruthenium complexes in ACN.

You don't have a nice synth for "trans-RuVI(L)O2]2=(L=N,N'-dimethyl-N,N'-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)propylenediamine" at hand, by coincidence? And maybe a viable method to produce ACN in solvent quantities? (preferably in LAYMANS TERMS of course) Laughing

I know you must be able to procure ACN, no need to synth it...
