The domain name has expired and is currently in limbo because of difficulties with the previous web host. The site itself still works though, as java has pointed out.

Database connection error!!!
A connection to the Database could not be established.
Please check your username, password, database name and host.
Also make sure config.php is rightly configured!

When connecting, the database returned:
Error 1203: User sciencem_xmb1 has already more than 'max_user_connections' active connections

This is what I've been getting today and not even that since last night.......does it mean that sciencemadness doesn't have enough bandwidth to accomadate the numerous members ......or is it the chaoes from the recent switch to a new service provider,....I look forward to the stability sciencemadness has been know for.......java/aka.solo at sciencemadness

My account at sciencemadness is goin funky too, i goto log in and it sends me right back to the same page without being logged in at all, like its on an "ignore user input and be very frustrating" loop.

Polverone? whats up with the boards?

One thing at a time. Right now when I log into my site control panel, it doesn't show any bandwidth use or stats for the site. I think this may be because the site is always being accessed by IP address and not its given name. I'm not sure. In any case, I feel that I should get the domain name working before I tackle the other problems. Other people have reported the max_connections error and I will be asking my host about it ASAP if it does not clear up after the domain name is fixed.

ApprenticeCook: nobody else has reported problems like yours recently. Try clearing your cache and cookies, then logging in again.

The web host misconfigured DNS for sciencemadness sometime today, which is why it stopped working. It has been corrected now but the DNS updates may take some time to propagate.
