I am not sure I follow the part about density in the lectures. When you speak of density volume to mass, is mass the atomic mass of the element or the # of grams?
Mass is the amount of matter. Density is the amount of matter per unit volume. 1 ton of lead has the same mass as 1 ton of feathers. 1 ton of lead would fit in a large suitcase, 1 ton of feathers would fill a large room. Lead has high density, feathers have low density.
