So, I dug up and dusted off my old Chemical Research CD, and on it, I found a LOT of old hive files, along with tons of word documents, PiHKaL, TiHKaL, plenty of precursor syntheses, 901 different named reaction schemes, a custom Rhodium archive that I'd made (and will remake soon), and lots of pretty pictures.

There are two main locations where the Hive forum threads are stored:
First one dates from 1/7/1999 - 5/20/2000 (600+ .txt files, plus images)
Second one dates from 1/21/2002 - 5/11/2003 (100+ full HTML files + images - these are the ones I personally cherry-picked, lots of good stuff here)

I'm sure that a few of these files are already archived on here somewhere, but I'm even more sure that a LOT of these aren't, as they're just from my private collection.

Is there a way to enable an anonymous FTP access somewhere on this site? I'd love to just upload all this stuff and have you guys pick it apart, as I don't even have close to enough time to scratch the surface.

Either reply here or shoot me a PM with some info on what the hell to do with all this information. I feel guilty hoarding it, it needs to be spread far and wide.

[edit: typos]

Just the forum threads? Less than 6 or 7 MB zipped. There's also a couple megs of pictures (not including the ones already in the threads), plus a bunch of .djvu and .doc documents, lab explanation videos, PiHKaL and TiKHaL, a modified Rhodium archive, and other miscellaneous stuff... It's under 100MB total, but a bunch of that is stuff that's already here. There's probably 50MB uncompressed total useful information, though.

Well, seeing as how a number of people have contacted me about these files, I'll just post the yousendit.com link:

http://s9.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1G5Q6VGXJ8IIZ2VU3C3J12Q9HZ

It's around 7 or 8 MB, lots of threads, and some good images. There's more where that came from, but it has to be cleaned up a bit Razz

The movies and images will probably be uploaded later at some point. As for the books:
