Dont know if anyone noticed it, but some article ive seen, states that the structure of the intersting nuerotransmitors (dopamine, serotonin), and the active drugs, all are infact, a part of the lysergamide structure. if u look closely using chemdraw or whatever, and put different structures on top of lysergamide u see it corresponds with the lower rings of it.
this is why lyergamides have such a variable effect on serotonin and on dopamine.
so i was thinking.
it is possible to make a compound which has a phenethylamine/amphetamine with the indole addition to it.
it would be dubbed indole-5-ethylamine (for the phenethylamine analog) and indole-5-isopropylamine for the amphetamine analog.
this would be a very nice compound to research, as well as its homologues/analogs....

along with tetraeders novel trichloride DOC analog, it could be another new compoound found and researched by synthetikal!

I believe the right precurosor for it would be indole-5-carboxilic acid, which would be a short way to the indole-5-ethylamine, via protection of the indole nitrogn (boc or whaever), then dihydroxilate and treat like any other benzaldehyde to get the phenethylamine/amphetamine.
It would be much easier if indole-5-aldehyde was available, but its not (as far as i know)

If anyone got any other routes in mind it would be great if we opened a discussion of it.

update : Indole-5-carboxaldehyde seems to be availble, thru chem companies.
