ok, I'm bored so here goes...
What is the most toxic reagent you ever worked with or have been exposed to?
I've worked with dimethyl sulfate, sodium azide, various Hg salts (HgCl2, acetate, nitrate)
Once when I was foolishly heating a drop of mercury metal in some aqueous acidic solution in a test tube when younger, I noticed a quaint acrid smell and the mercury that I thought was dissolving, only to realize that the mercury was evaporating and the smell came from the mercury vapours.
I also have been exposed to bromine vapours which were lingering in my room over hours, gave me a really sore throat.
