Damn, the people who publish those books are voracious 'copywrite crusaders'. That set is extremely hard to find online because of that reason and the actual books run at around $1000 per volume. They have just hit my latest rapidshare stash, I wonder was it through this website???

I will zip the files and encrypt them and re-upload them here under a different name.

I hate those people, copyright isn't something I agree with.. >:(

We ought to show them whats up by naming a bunch of bunk PDF files after the books own, perhaps with a "Rick Roll" image in it, and spread that around all over the internet. Put the people on a goose chase for a while and waste the time of the people they are paying. :P


I wonder how it is they found it though? They are not named properly are they? so it wasn't like it was via a google search. It'd be damn strange if it were through this website! Especially because that would mean the post has at least 10 posts to his name.

Perhaps it may have just been linked out in other places as well, that is viewable by non-members, and is indexed by google?

This set has been on Rapidshare before, then removed. Maybe they keep hashes of removed files and periodically purge re-uploads that match? The set is still available through Gigapedia on other file hosts.

I said it before and Ill say it again, the most efficient mean of sharing copyright material like this is through reliable P2P such as emule (IMO the best P2P client around).

Yeap newly uploaded files on rapidshare (and some others) have their filenames and hashes checked against previous copyrighted works. The easy way around this is random filenames and include a eg 1k text file of some random text in the zip/rar archive to end up with a different hash.

Again pointing out the fact that sharing via P2P is IMO the way to go, sure it takes more time but its reliable and safe. You just need to be patient and if everyone was sharing it could compete with that rapidshare crap in a snap. Heres just a few examples I downloaded on the edonkey network in the last 24 hour.
