purer xtals with naphtha and MHRB

hi everyone,

Im just getting into chemistry now and have followed a naphtha tek for mhrb.

In this tek after drying naphtha with epsom salts you freeze precip then pour off solvent and let the precip dry under a fan..but I feel like this can be improved, from what Ive seen possibly with rotovap. How can I get the purest xtals with no loss of yield? I could rex with Bestine but Im interested to do it faster than letting that freeze and evap.

I know I could find the answer by vigorous research but I figured it would be nice to listen to the learned vesp peoples recommendation here..

please advise...

1. You dont even give any references of the compoud being recrystallized. State clearly what MHRB is and maybe people would understand.

well u can freeze up some epsom salts up-n-there and get big fat! crystals and rub a little gun bluing up on it and stick it in the dark for 2 days.

eh i found somethin better with orange peels and toothpaste and something about spinning it with a ceiling fan but you didnt hear it from me
