I would like to humbly suggest that the hive forum archive be made searchable, maybe by using something like http://www.sphider.eu/

hmm not my sort of thing... but I'd be happy to set it up/host it if someone else wants to get the packages, databases, and everything set up and ready...

looks like a useful program..

I could get this set up in an hour or two if you feel comfortable giving me access to the cpanel/shell. I think it would be good to host it here considering we already have a hive archive up.

Won't give you or anyone access, but there isn't a way you could just set it up and than post the files here?
eh... I will look into it more in a bit. I've been a bit busy the last little while with some family junk and my other projects.

A mysql database has to be created. Thats the only step that really requires cpanel/shell access

A PHP Search Engine script in the directory is all that is needed.
