anyone remember synthetikal(meme i beleive you do ;)?

So I'm trying to find a good archive of the synthetikal forums for nostalgia sake and reference.
If I remember correctly my old username there was chemhappy :D
Anyone happen to have a rather up to date archive of it?

Also i came across and interesting picture while on an old archive of the site.




What is a more in depth synthesis procedure for that if it is possible? ^^
I would liek to try it with piperonal  ;D [edit: dea list 2 :/ gah ]

another method popularized by twodogs. The second rxn is called the Baeyer Villager oxidation; it's worth noting that the reagent is a peroxy acid.

Search around the internet and find out what is going on in the synthesis posted and you should find your answer somewhere.

You should understand the mechanism involved first and figure out the stability of the precursors under acidic conditions. I think if tried with Piperonal without a full understanding and modifications of the procedure you would be in for a huge let down and heart break in the end more then likely resulting in a tarry mess from polymerization of the destroyed methylenedioxy bridge.
