I have been a user of gooooooogle forever. The fact that google skews search results is more and more obvious. Undeniably an alternative to google had been desired for some time.

So, duckduckgo seems to fit the bill. It works like google, has added functionality, and does not track user search data. Adding it to chrome is quite easy, as would be any other search engine.

This looks useful. When I was trying to do research on scopine and possible cocaine analogues of it, I would search the terms scopine and cocaine but had issues with google assuming I meant scorpion.
Look at the difference in results...

Here is another great example:

Search "offshore" in bother DDG and google. Google only talks about offshore drilling, and DDG splits the results between drilling and banking.

i've been using it ever since it appeared.

i'm even searching google through it, when i do.

seems to be very popular among redditors, it's where i first read about it.
