I only know because my ex-wife has a degree in theology and his name came up a few times. I later bought 'Man And His Symbols', dude's most popular book. I have the feeling I will enjoy pihkal way better.

Pretty soon I will know what an alodoxime looks like (without cheating) and I'll expect you to know who Jung is  ;D

i dunno i bet he got some hard time, drugging the flock.
it was some of the most bizzare shit i ever heard of.

Doubt it - he's got religion - all it takes to sway a jury to you're innocent.

That is one qualm I have about if mdma was made legal - there's way too many ways it could be used to get people to give up their money or otherwise influence people to do things they wouldn't otherwise.  Hubby said the rule is you never marry anyone you roll with within 6 months.  They're have to be a clause in all legal contracts stating you were not on mdma at the time of the signing.

spirituality is a personal thing
You don't find it funny that a lot of 'spiritual' ceremonies are preformed communally?

The biggest tragedy in all of relegion's damage done is that it can hardly be separated from god by most people. I guess that's because most of us become familiar with a creator figure through exposure to some religion. I believe we would believe in a creator even without the influence of religion, which makes religion an easy sale for a lot of folks. Sadly the stains that religion leave on our impression of god often last a lifetime.

"herd instinct" is one side of the spectrum of group interaction, jon. It's like the difference between experiencing music alone or in a group. No man (should be) an island!

Plato (but who the fuck was he?) said that a large contingent of "the people" needs to be ruled, or at least, that most individuals must be ruled. Most people are sheep and love it! At least, that's true of the girls I've met..
