there was this thing about "hooked on ebonics"

As for enki...yes I agree, and for the record, I was myself jesting. I have absolutely no clue as to his ethnicity. Unless it matches his name and he has somehow managed to survive ever since the fall of babylon, and the downfall of the assyrian, sumerian and akkadian empires. Otherwise, no idea.

but there were math tests given in inner city schools the questions went like this

yeah i'm sure they allowed some variance for the answers assuming julio cuts his coke or shorts his custies.

Sounds reasonable to me, teach the kids using terms they are familiar with. When I lived in detroit, I would go every so often and hit the payphone at wyoming and 5 mile, I think it was, and wait. In ten minutes time I'd have atleast two ten year old kids or younger try to sell me drugs. It was funny the first couple times. One day I relented and bought a gram from one of the kids, pretty good smoke 
In that neighborhood, it was nothing unusual to see kids that young selling drugs for their parents. Youd have the one bigger kid and three or four smaller kids following them around, with parents watching from the bushes. As scummy as it sounds, I miss that city.
