Is this compound legal (oxime)?

Is alpha-   methyl-3,4-(methylenedioxy)hydrocinnamaldoxime illegal under the analog act? Suspicion aside, is the compound illegal or not? Again, I know it would be highly suspicious to say the least, but is it illegal?

Nope, but if you have everything needed to make MDA with it that's a completely different story though.

What if I had everything else needed to make lots of things? I mean, besides the the precursor, the oxime, the chemicals needed to take it to mda are pretty widely used in all sorts of organic chem reactions/syntheses. So, it's as I thought, the compound is legal, it's the intent to manufacture a controlled substance that is illegal.

That aldoxime is not the sort of thing that one has, as a hobby chemist..just 'lying around'

Not something I would dare trying personally. And I don't even live in the states...If they can prosecute you for having ephedrine and a reducing agent, I'm pretty sure they will prosecute you for having that more-than-questionable (EDIT: In the US Governement's eyes) product around.

Well, I've been careful to keep it clean around here as of late. But I really do wanna play with this oxime some. With all I got on my plate moving and all right now I don't give a shit anyway. I'll just play with something else, like acetone or formaldehyde. It does piss me off, though.
