Problem downloading attached files

I'm not able to download attached files of any types from the forum anymore. I get a prompt to download index.php. Others members also reported having the same issue. Somebody was kind enough to try helping me resolve the issue (He thought it was my browser configuration), but it's unfortunably still isn't working.

By the way, I'm using firefox.

I had that problem earlier, so i switched browsers to chrome ...  8)
But then I updated firefox to an alpha version and it corrected the issue of index.php (Also, I cleared all cache / cookies)
off to bigger and better things - don't worry I will visit from time to time

If one uses the option in firefox to open a new tab the download proceeds normally  8)

Seems it started acting like that since the last update (Seems they're now updating firefox to a new version every 2 weeks ::)). I resetted the browser to default settings and it's still not working...

EDIT: lugh, thanks, but trying to start the download with ''open in a new tab'' / ''open in a new window'' still yield the same result  :-\

I have ran into this problem as well but it seemed like it was only rarely - now that I think about it I bet it was in FF instead of chrome.
Thanks for bringing up the problem! Let me know if it continues or anything else funky happens.

Seems like it is a browser issue and not a site issue? Good to know! :)

Someone should go see if they have this same problem on other SMF sites, as well?

I've registered on the SMF developement forum, and it's a known firefox 8 beta bug.
