We the terrorists…?
« on: February 03, 2012, 03:47:07 AM »
http://advocacy.globalvoicesonline.org/2012/02/02/we-the-terrorists/

any use of “anonymizers, portals, or other means to shield IP address” is considered as a suspicious activity such as terrorism. Additionally, if you use encryption or are somehow “overly concerned about privacy” or attempting to “shield the screen from view of others”, you are suspicious of being potentially engaged or supporting terrorists.

I would give up my privacy entirely... if I knew that the following quote was a work of fiction:
Quote
1) Christopher Norman, 24635034: sentenced to 21 years, 10 months (262 months) for conspiracy to distribute five kilograms of cocaine. Sentenced July 2000, Release date: 2019. Black American.

2) Jacob Esquibel, 40652018: 21 years, 3 months (255 months) for 'Possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine'. Inside since 2001, release date: 2021. First time offender as an adult. Mexican/Native American.

3) Travis Rogers, 21111045: 252 months (21 years), inside since 2010, release date: 2029. Conspiracy to distribute 500+ grams of methamphetamine. One previous state conviction. White.

4) Antonio Andrews, 15054040: Convicted of being a felon in possession of firearms, sentenced to 48 years, sentenced in 2010, release date: 2053. Current age 34, release at age 77. Andrews makes a point of saying no one was harmed, nor were guns used in any way. Black.

5) Cedric Jones, 29464-077: "Conspiracy to possess and distribute crack cocaine." Received "mandatory life sentence" in 1995 at age 24. Now 40 years old. No drugs were ever found on his person nor was any amount specified in his indictment. Because of two previous convictions, he received LIFE WITHOUT PAROLE. No release date. Black.

6) Nathan Carter, 14989076: "Possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine". Sentenced in 1998. Because of two previous drug convictions, was declared a career criminal, and given a life sentence. Received LIFE WITHOUT PAROLE. No release date. Black.

7) Bryan Jones, 01156748: "Conspiracy to Distribute Crack Cocaine". Sentenced to LIFE WITHOUT PAROLE, PLUS 5 years (!) in 1999 for having a gun in his possession at the time of arrest. First offense. Age 27 when incarcerated, 39 now. No release date.

8 ) Billy Wheelock, 60161080: Sentenced to "LIFE WITHOUT PAROLE" in Waco, Texas in 1993 for 99.64 grams of crack cocaine. In jail 19 years, 48 years of age.

9) Curtis Bell, 09304002: "Conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine", Life without parole. In jail since 1993. 10 of the 19 people indicted received sentences of Life Without Parole, including a mother of 22 children, Mary Morrow. A book was written that included information about Curtis Bell, called "Drug Conspiracy: We only Want the Blacks" by Richard 'Squirrel' Thomas. The title is taken from testimony by a government informant who testified against 30 black men, only 15 he had actually met. When the informant said he has information about a white man selling drugs at a club, a police agent said, "With all due respect, Derrick, we only want the niggers."

I'll take the risk of not divulging keys & using crypto over spilling my dirt any day.

But seriously, I need the fuck out of this country.

I thought the supreme court ruled a US citizen cannot be compelled to hand over crypto keys. ? That must be either bullshit or invalidated by now I guess.
Alimentary, dear Watson; I had a gut feeling.

I am not 100% my article is totally correct -- it is hard to tell with anything these days though, a lot of disinformation has been spread around.

Toady is so damn glad that he doesn't live in the US. All that high fructose corn syrup, burgers containing the MSG-impregnated mechanically-recovered scrapings and innards of something of possible bovine origin, or rather, make that several somethings of possible bovine origin. Obesity epidemic gives the meat a revolting texture, and aside from a handful of rather nice autie ladies, one real STUNNER with Rett's, and his ex girlfriend, family member (of no genetic relation) and soulmate, they lack flavour. Most of them leave him bloated and worrying about his cholesterol levels.

The government is a throwback to 30s-40s germany.

Don't know how they can say 'we only want the niggers',...considering the current  president....unless I'm very much mistaken, he's a n...he isn't white.

I suppose its payback in kind for bringing them over in the first place. You know what they say about karma being a canine of the feminine pursuasion (sort of like condoleezza rice and sarah palin...well, aside from the feminine bit at any rate:P)

Of course, here in the UK, the government is little better, still full of liars, snakes, schemers and thieves, and our legal system is steadily getting worse and worse, first the abolishment of double jeopardy laws, now things like applying the decreased number of years before a conviction is considered spent to rapists and paedophiles. IMO both should wear that mark for life, life meaning 'until you are buried in dirt, without the chance of clawing your way out, you raping piece of dog shite'

Its meant to help them stand some sort of chance of getting a job after the conviction expires. I support that for other offenders, but sex offenders pissed their humanity down the toilet when they chose to take from women and children what is not theirs to take.

I think you're on pretty solid ground there vesp,  I wish I was wrong, but with the changes going on to your legal system in general, whooaa!!!

"suspicion" of being a terrorist  because you're using a proxy? sounds like they want a way to be able to blame "someone, somehow" with whatever baseless accusations they choose, and do so with a high level of certainty of detention . . .

scary police state type approach, and hey has anyone seen photos of all those 1000's and 1000's of 'plastic coffins' fema bought, and has sitting in a feild somewhere in plain view  :o

yeah they are not coffins they are cremation containers.
the cremation facilities are already built i suspect they will have a backlog of corpses waiting to be burned those are probably there so the rotting corpses can be easily managed.
if you see how guilotine execitions are done the guillotined falls into a coffin after his head is chopped off.
that could be what they are for too because rumor has it they have guillotines in the fema camps.

jon I'm pretty sure those were part of the stimulus spending. I'm sure they could have bought plastic containers from China at 10% of the cost.

speaking of getting out ever notice how travel has become restricted since 9/11?
how it has become more difficult and time consuming to obtain a passport?
one of the first things a totailitarian regime does is lock down transpotation.
TSA anyone?
