Calgary

Hi everyone.

I am visiting the University of Calgary for a few months this year. Do any of you guys know anything about calgary. Any recommendations on things to see etc? I havnt been to canada before so know very little about the place.

IF you are going to be there during the week(s) of July 6-15; see  calgarystampede. com
A very epic event, better than the USA "independence day" by a hundred times over [ And they are doing it for fun, not in celebration of a war (although for a while they did do just that). Technically it is a Rodeo/Festival. ]
Cheap stuff to free stuff  including fireworks...  8)
off to bigger and better things - don't worry I will visit from time to time

Unfortunately I will only be there from September. I wanna find me some bears+ nature trails + organic chemistry enlightenment! You should check out the film "Into the Void" btw. It was recommended to me earlier in the week.
