As long as there are no ER cases, or children using it people don't care or the fact that they use racial profiles to build the case against a plant / drug ?
They be hurting all of us by exercising power in this manner.

/edit/
This is plain stupid, I recommend reading this www.tdpf.org.uk , specifically www.tdpf.org.uk/Transform_Drugs_Blueprint.pdf
Is a realistic outlook, that is more likely to be adopted than other plans.

lol  It was a rhetorical ?  I was aiming more towards the powers that be being hellbent on banning yet another plant based on misinformation, fear, etc.!

...I mean they even state it themselves that they know nothing about it and had to use internet searches to find out about it.

maybe we can crank out deschloro-4- propionoxy loperamide and turn shit medicine into a controlled substance next.
i'd love to see the general public's reaction to that.

Ha, yeah, no shit. There needs to be a "shake n bake" for opioids... put an end to this nonsense, make it impossible to enforce anything. As I've said before, the more bullshit going on with crazy "shake n bake" type stuff, the more distracted the police are. Look at the medical marijuana states - the odds of getting busted for a grow have gone down tremendously even if you're not legal, simply because there's probably 100x as many grows as before. They have very limited resources. See it as a real life DDOS of the DEA. It would be good to distract them anyway, kratom is something with unique uses, it would be much better to have them busy dealing with "lope dope" than kratom... kratom's withdrawals are short and very mild - milder than caffeine withdrawal... and you never get a tolerance to it. It provides consistent euphoria that never fades with use, it's cheap, it's safe - an OD just means puking, not death, and since you don't get a tolerance dosing is easy, you just do the same amount every time... it's not tested for in drug screens, and drinking tea is not at all suspicious... it doesn't really affect motor coordination... it's really good for heroin addicts looking to kick... could go on forever here, it is a real treasure.

I agree - more needs to be done so it is like a "a real life DDOS of the DEA." -- It needs to get to be out of control at least as much as prohibition did, in order to crash the "servers" or something.

(which this line of thinking is inspiration for two of my projects: Vesp's Manifesto, and bitwasp)

lol sadly they can ban what they like as long as people stay ignorant and the knowledgable stay quiet

the cops will happily arrest someone they believe they can 'convict' in a court of law...and stupid laws have been made by selfish men.

banning kratom 'makes sense' to the fools who think banning things works and creates another 'reason' to process you through the system

imo the only thing to combat this abuse of power, is getting folks to wise up but one of the problems here is that most folks are happy with their common (but mistaken) beliefs about 'drugz' of the recreational variety

i've been waitng a looong time for cannabis users to shift the general consensus about drugs into perspective but sadly many of the folks who smoke and or take other drugs, dont advertise the fact in their day to day life :'(  and dont go around advocating drug use

possibly becoz drugs are illegal and becoz the whole connotation of 'taking drugs' to someone who never has is usually quite negative.

I dont think it can ever reach a similar level as back then (sadly) there's just not enough people prepared to complain to overthrow TPTB

even if you could crash them, they will come back until the reasoning behind them changes

apparently more than 50% of americans are happy to see cannabis legalised BUT thats clearly not how their govt sees it :o

wtf is happening when the federal govt shuts down state MM places? :o

time after time even the courts down here have suggested for variations in our laws to stop the senseless arrest of cannabis users..and yet it goes on...
fresh got busted for a gram of pot a couple of years ago and the sgt at the station said to him "I wouldnt have even charged you 20 years ago, I would have just thrown it in the bin"

alas f1 had to go to court (at least the 10th time fresh has had to for this shit) and waited there for about 90mins and got a hundred dollar fine in the last 5mins then went home (and still hasnt paid the fine) . . .what a waste of time and energy!  how stupid!

there are two states here where growing and consuming pot HAS been decriminalised for over 30 years with no dramas, and yet I  still only have to walk across the rd/border and I can get busted... they even stop buses and search them :o

how I pray for changes and yet I know they're not going to happen soon :'(

ps vesp what's bitwasp?

Nope I'm not good at much of anything honestly. If anything I am just good at trying to do things, and bringing people together -- getting project ideas to the right people and such -- if that.

I love the Idea of a shake and bake opiod to take the heat off kratom, tho I'm afraid that there is a really short Timeline for that as its been popping up all over the medias radar lately and not in a good way sadly
