The 5 Mile High Acid Club
« on: June 09, 2012, 09:52:48 AM »
Age: Young and physically healthy
Weight:  ~60 kg
Dosage: 200 micrograms
Drug: LSD
Source: Close Friend... ;)
Desired effects: Novel experience and pure insanity
Intensity:  Moderately Intense - Wouldn't recommend the setting
Setting: On a Plane going across the pond.
ROA: Blotter tabs, tucked in my gums until they were swallowed perhaps 20 or 30 minutes later, odorless and tasteless blotter.
Background: Some experience with Psychedelics, enough to be confident in the setting. See previous bioassays for details.

More to come when I am on a more secure connection. Maybe I will pull in some of my trip notes, but I will likely just summerize and explain.

Lets just say it was something amazing! Luckily I was able to keep myself together enough in the tightly enclosed and uncomfortable space. Went across the pond, but didn't come fully down until long after I had arrived at my destination. Pupil dilation just looked like I was jumpy and drunk as per usual for myself.
The drone of the engine and air flowing all around the plane was overwhelming at times. I had the chance to sit at a window seat, so while it was light out I was able to look at the clouds from above. Oh my! All the familiar faces, and the auoras I could see with my third eye.
In addition, I suspect the X-ray machines degrade blotter slightly.  :)

I really can't recommend the setting the trip occured in, but I had 200 micrograms spaced 100 at  T-40 , before the flight left and another 100 at T+15.

Oh, and before anyone asks, I didn't buy a plane ticket just to do this.
off to bigger and better things - don't worry I will visit from time to time

The flight, I thought was a few days ... but to those around me it was but 9 or 10 something hours. From [place] into [place], business not pleasure ;) or a bit of both if you know what I mean.
The flight was mostly okay, smooth, but during take off the turbulance? was terrifying luckily I had a little juice in my ipod to rock some Pink Floyd and Radio Head before peaking.
Internet is way too expensive here, blew too much at the bar ;) so I will be brief now and add more later.

If I had the money for a private jet, even to rent it for the day and take 5 or 10 of my close friends that also trip, I would invest in that experience... but no, I don't have that kind of money, so I make do with a very stuffy and crowded coach class plane filled with plenty of people from all walks of life.  Got to meet some interesting people though, I really shouldn't have, but I couldn't resist a conversation in Italian since I never get to practice that language. They probably thought I drank a little much in the first go around with the service carts.  Another thought comes to me, the risk we [ I ] take by taking said substance on me isn't as much as for other substances. And is extremely safe in the perspective that it isn't being looked for.
If there is any particular question of sensation I can pull it out of my notes, but I don't think I will have time for another week or two later from now to really dig my thoughts out without provocation.

No no no!

That was due to the subject ingesting a super potent strain of LSD or possibly a bad batch.
^Both terms I've seen in mainstream media reports.
One journalist even referred to "bath salts" as being a new type of LSD.
Why is no one here working on new strains of common psychedelics? You call yourselves scientists....

Yes, of course I'm joking  ;D
Just trying to highlight how ridiculously removed from reality the media are.
Not sure what you mean about the spell check either, there are no errors in my post.

Not trying to derail the bioassay though.
Sounds like a very interesting idea, I often enjoy tripping in situations where I can't fully control my environment. Sometimes we shy away from incredible experiences when a little push in the right direction is exactly what we need!
