When using Google to search, you may see..

"In response to a complaint we received under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act, we have removed 1 result(s) from this page."

An example: Software DMCA (Copyright) Complaint from Microsoft to Google, (April 6, 2012). http://www.chillingeffects.org/notice.cgi?sID=265797

BRUSSELS - Google has received more than 1,000 requests from authorities to take down content from its search results or YouTube video in the last six months of 2011, the company said on Monday, denouncing what it said was an alarming trend.

In its twice-yearly Transparency Report, the world's largest web search engine said the requests were aimed at having some 12,000 items overall removed, about a quarter more than during the first half of last year.

As soon as corporations become successful they pander to and work hand in hand with governments. Google is not as bad as most from what I can tell. But as long as governments create and control currencies and laws nothing is going to change.
