physic stuff: possibly higgs boson detected

have seen it in television today, they detected something in genfs LHC at CERN institute that could be a so called higgs boson, thought that someone maybe are interested in physics. have not read the link, only non english sources so far. i am not very familiar with it neither have i much knowledge but i find the whole happening damn interesting! ;D

Toady cannot wait to hear more about this possible higgs boson. Such a discovery, if confirmed would be truly mass-ive. Now...toady is going to shoot up a mass-ive amount of oxycodone in celebration :D

 The LHC is an amazing machine and they 'feel' confident about having "found the Higgs" BUT they also 'found' superfast neutrinos which turned out to be an error, even though numerous 'checks' were done confirming the results! :-\

It stands to reason that the Higgs boson exists, but really, the only practical 'application' its discovery would have would be in mathematics of theoretical physics.

But people who make comments like the one you quoted carl I just call 'idiots'  it's  'everything neutral' having no overtones of being 'ismistic' while being aplicable to anyone and at times, everyone  ;D

petulant, to use clear words i meant retarded i a manner like they are outdated idiots, i dont meant people with a real existing mental disease because 1. these are normally the most unretarded people ever 2. im suffering from ADD myself, so please dont misunterstand me there ;) i hope it was actually clear that toadie and me only were kidding about the theme ;D

oh, and this needs a separate post, im actually very scared one day the physicst will make the whole chemistry useless and every chemist will end upp unemployed, once they ever invent such a thing like a "nano assembler", a machine that is able to mechanical stick atom to atom, or even to remove and add single atomic particles to an atom to synthesize every substanze andf every molecule without any reaction, just in a manual way ;D pure science fiction, but... who knos, future will show ;D

People don't SUFFER from Asperger's usually as such, and its not terminal, nor a disease. What makes AS something to make aspies suffer, is the lack of awareness and reasonable accommodations, as well as common, ingrained prejudice against auties and aspies, people often use such terms as 'you fucking spacker/spastic/retard' as an insult, casually, and with no real intent to demean those on the spectrum, or those with MR, although I've known a lot of truly awful cruelty to bee perpetrated against us, and bullying in schools etc.

Toady was pretty lucky, in that he got to go to spesh schools for auties, and grow up amongst his own, the MR, and those with classic Kanner's autism like him, and other aspies. And he wouldn't take any shite, anybody trying to flush him down the bogs or slap him about would swiftly find himself on the receiving end of a wristlock, knee in the family jewels and a good hard elbow strike  in the brachial point :P

He is really ashamed, to this day, of when he was a little child, picking on those weaker than him at times in school at times. if he could have taken those moments back he would.

And what he wouldn't give to have had internet access, and  the adult maturity in his childhood days he has now, to have been an activist then.

yeah its really a shame how "mental diseases" like depression adhd etc are treated, but considered every tenth of even more will at least on such an incident, its really a shamee people are getting treated like they were real insane or could go on a killing spree any moment just because they are depressed  :o its like you carry a stigma  from the first diagnosis on really

yep its the higgs boson.. they are now at sigma 4 or 5.. im sure you know what that means carl_nnabis... ;)

The higgs boson its not a commonly known particle or talked about but the higgs field is what gives all particles that interact with it mass! so it fills a huge gap in the understanding of the standard model of quantum mechanics


suffering from ADD pfff anyone who has ADD for real will never understand it or be able to differentiate a life of not having it to a life of having it.

when i say "suffering" than just because its the usual english term used, not because i really suffer from it anyway ;D in german i would just literally say i got add, not that it causes any discomfort (which it clearly does not ;D)

He has classic Kanner's autism. Fucking well proud of it too. Sure the Kanner's 1.0 set of wetware and processor unit comes with its own unique challenges and difficulties, such as photosensitivity for instance.
