Hi everyone
« on: August 05, 2012, 04:58:01 PM »
Hi everyone.

Happy to have found this place. My journey began Back in around 2008 when i was over at drugs forum and wetdreams, using a method a friend known as 'Myhero' developed with a few others, to extract cocaine from coca leaves. This was alot of fun! It also kick started a strong interest in the subject of organic chemistry.

I found though, around a year later, as other bees progressed onto other things, such as mdxx compounds, i fell behind and was happy to stick with the coca leaves for a while. Plus, the chemistry was going straight over my head. I just didnt understand it and needed to read up. Another half a year went past and the cocaine intake was getting ridiculous. Not to mention, i felt i had been doing it long enough without incident that it was time to take a break. Iv not done it since.

The positive thing that resulted from that experience was the fact i never ever waste my money on european street cocaine. Its not the same as the stuff we used to make. Its rubbish. Not to mention extremely over priced. I am eager to give it another try so we will see how my journey goes. I do miss that pearly flake! But thats another story..

Around about a year ago though i decided the time had come for some serious reading and began to get stuck in as much as i could and concentrated on some particular areas on psychonaut forum around the MDA molecule. I exausted the information and wanted some fresh stuff to read. As well as this i have been reading introductory chemistry books, inorganic and organic. The chemistry for dummies books i have found to be very good. Iv got zubricks manual, also fantastic, and various other literature like voguls books etc. khan acadamy videos have proved invaluable. Watching on the way to work, at dinner, on the way home. You get the picture. :)

Recently, very randomly, i discovered this absolute gold mine. The timing couldnt have been better.

Chemistry really interests me and i love learning. Ive not had alot of practical experiance with serious glass setups though and this is an aspect that will worry me, until i get some and try some things out.

Shit like errupting guizers of al/hg reactions covering my ceiling does sound extremely intimidating to a newbie. So i am trying to read as much as possible before doing anything. As spice once said to me though, there is no escaping the trial and error aspect. 8)

So, After spending around about a year reading up on the chemistry behind complex reactions such as those that lead to MDA for example, I still have a long way to go and do not feel i am able to add anything worthwhile to this forum at the moment. I am very excited though, as this forum contains alot of great and valuable information. Not only that but i have noticed the members on here are some very knowledgeable bees/wasps who have been around along time.

So, after taking a massive shit in excitment after registering and discovering the information available i am now on the road to exausting all the threads of worth while information on my chosen subject (MDA) and then hopefully i will be able to contribute some knowledge in some way for others to benefit from. I am available to chat about the cocaine extractions if anyone needs any help or clarification. I have a good memory on the subject.

Peace and unity

Welcome aboard8).

If you really feels uneasy with glassware setup, which is normal at first, considers investing into a practical organic chemistry manual 8). While probably not the best, Zubrick's one explains the basics pretty well if you never entered a real lab before ;).

If I might ask, what routes to MDA are you contemplating?

Thanks for the welcome guys.

Roidrage my chosen path is that which is documented by two dogs over at psychonaut and utilises helional as the starting material to get to mda in 3 steps. Looks pretty straight forward and doesn't require a lot of stuff.
Does require Hoffman rearrangement.

Alternatively there is the pipernol Knoevenegal condensation with cyclohexylamine then al/hg reduction to mda.

I still don't know all that much to go through confidently with anything just yet. I need to box off and fully understand a few organic chemistry topics and then understand the reactions mechanisms A little better within the ones I'm hoping to perform. I am also extremely bothered about any filth activity. So I'm taking things very slow and steady. What's the rush. Swim has some helional in the freezer to use when the time comes.

Does anyone else have any experience with the said reactions?

yes.
precisely, with the second reaction you mentioned.

Zubrick's
my suggestion, go get a paperback of organikum, i have one 19th edition and i never want to miss it again.
also, pharmaceutical organic chemistry books give a pretty good overview about the process of work up in a practical oriented manner. ie, solvent recycling, cleaning of workspace and proper disposal of waste. i have only german ones lying around and am too lazy to check if there are english translations ;D
