Safrole isomerisation
« on: January 13, 2013, 09:10:52 PM »
I have UedTFSE a lot, and, from what i have read KOH is used for the isomerisation of safrole.  Can NaOH be used?  If not, why?  I ask because joe has about 6lbs of NaOH, but no KOH.  If it can be used in this process, it'd be preferrable since joe already has it.  If not, he shall have to order KOH.
