I was hoping this message board wouldn't be used for politics.

Thats anarchism for sociology students I suppose as if is meant to be a mix of socialism and anarchism then you might consider to read the books of Mikael Bakunin and to have a look into the history of the first International.

Agreed, these kind of threads often leave the community less than it was before.

I believe we do not know the correct form of government, and that we should have multiple smaller governments and learn from one another - and basically apply the scientific method.

I don't really consider myself anything but a scientist when it comes to such things, so I support whatever increases experimentation.

Like the Sea Steading Institute.

I was actually thinking about this the other day. But i think the problem me and my group of friends found was that the scientist would need clean (per-se) groups of people. This would give him absolute control to try different ideas in different colonies. But this would give him quite a bit of power. So how would we go about picking this leader or scientist to indroduce the political views to see of they run their course. (Unless you were thinking just let them go free, and just observe without actual interactment)

Governments will sort themselves out.  What we need is a trustable, stable, international encrypted digital currancy to replace government issued currancies entirely.  Removing any economic power from government would radically free most people.   Any government structure arising then would likely be altruistuc.

I know you're alluding to bitcoins here, and I hope the concept does come to fruition. I'm a bit hesitant that it ever will, but the idea has gotten farther than I ever thought possible. I've moved from the "that will never work" camp to the "still improbable, but lets wait and see what happens" group.

I don't what I'd call myself. According to this: (http://www.politicalcompass.org/test) I'm slightly to the left on economic issues and very "progressive" on social issues, which sounds about right. Nevertheless, I like to think of political issues on a spectrum and not a black-and-white scale, so I try to make a conscious effort to understand both sides to an argument.

Current democracies have centralized media, currency and legal systems. The internet decentralizes the media, bitcoins decentralize the currency and now we just need a decentralized legal system.

In other news bitcoins just jumped to $70. Nothing like making a quarter mil overnight.
