Agent reporting for duty.
« on: August 26, 2009, 11:23:17 PM »
Hey guys. I'm Agent Madhatter and I love chemistry, but more importantly, I love organic chemistry, but even more important than all of that. I love making chemicals.

Though I don't have an extraordinary background in Chemistry, or any college classes, I teach myself everything (sometimes it doesn't seem like alot, but telling me that won't help me learn) or ask on forums for help.

I'll probably be posting alot about LSA since thats my current project.

Hope we can help each other out!

Might want to consider a name change. I can't imagine there are many around here who care for someone who's name starts with "Agent". The mere sound of "agent" makes my hair stand on the back of my neck and makes me want to find a baseball bat...... edit: AgentFuckTheFuckingDEA might work.

Haha. If I was honestly an Agent for the DEA, would I even think about mentioning the DEA in any of my post, let alone my name?

I normally have a picture of The Mad Hatter on my profile and I've been a fan of the name Agent X,Z,ZigZag, whatever. But thanks for the tip.

If your a member of the shroomery you could look me up on there and see I'm not working for any government official.

Interesting, I didn't know you came from the shroomery.
I check that place out often, but rarely post.
it is a good place for trades though.

Yeah. Just look me up =) I actually was banned for a day recently for asking how many people don't have connects to RC suppliers. Even though I didn't post anything about buying RC's.

Oh I could never do such a thing! That is a DEA List 1 chemical! I would NEVER even THINK of being around or even THINKING about any chemical that the DEA deems to be unsafe to me and society at large. That is why every time I go hiking I usually get sick from drinking the creek water since the DEA has told me that iodine is evil and I should never go near it. I am just here to find ways to make my Diet Pepsi taste better that is all.

WTF would one need Diethylamine for anyway? Without a peptide coupling reagent it sounds about worthless.

BTW I thought the Hatter was already a member here? Where the hell is that crazy cat?

Speaking of Agent XXX and whatnot

I was working in my lab one day, and a white, unmarked SUV pulls up.  I start eyeing this, as two men exit the vehicle.  They start walking towards my house, and my heart starts racing.  They begin walking up the driveway, so I walk out of the garage to draw their attention towards me.  They come up, and say "Are you so and so?" and I reply with, "yes", and the husky fella says "Good afternoon, I'm agent Joe so and so, and this is my partner, Agent whoever.  We'd like to have a few words with you".  I damn near shit my pants on this one, being a hair trigger away from dumping gasoline on my lab and setting it ablaze.  Turns out, they were from the BNSF.  Some local yokel set off a pipe bomb on the rail roads, and with my track record, they knew that I knew about explosives, so they were asking me stuff like if I had ever taught anyone, or if I knew anything about it.  I hadn't before that previous day, and I havn't heard back from them.

Two days later, I was told that the chicago FBI was on my answering machine, wishing to speak with me.  This message was left the same day as the visit by the BNSF police however, so I figured they were related, and I was never contacted again by either.

When several different agents from two different federal agencies are tasked to investigate some dumb teenager setting off a pipe bomb then you know LE has way too much funding.... In a city like Chicago which has a murder rate as high as Iraq you'd think stupid pipe "bombs" would be the last thing on their mind. But I guess lazily driving around the area to "investigate" stupid stuff is just as good as a way to justify those 6 figure government salaries. The FBI's new investigative technique: drive around and go door to door asking people if they did it  ::)

Haha I agree.  Whatever makes the people feel safe, I guess.  Oh yeah, apparently the 'bomb' did some actual damage.  It was placed in a control box, or something of that sort, and it annihilated it.  They gave me some figure on how much money this would cost, but those are always grossly over exaggerated.

Yessir, thank you.  This was back in may/june.  I havn't seen or heard any suspicious activity from them since those days, fortunately.  I've been on the watch though

Haha and thank you, Agent Madhatter
