Calcium Nitrite
« on: September 23, 2009, 06:33:48 PM »
Used as a corrosion inhibitor for Concrete (30-60%) and available in MASSIVE quantities (Generally look up "Concrete CNI" on google)... Mixing a solution of this with either sodium/lithium sulfate should be a good route to the respective nitrites (and get rid of the calcium sulfate).

Now this is interesting news.
This makes alot of synths that use nitrite more otc, but that is stating the obvious.
Is the impurity calcium nitrate?
I'd suspect that it is as the otc concrete "antifreeze" here is impure sodium nitrate.
