Someones got access to gobs of D-Amph and was wondering if something more useful could come of it.

See the attached document.

One can methylate an amine to a methylamine with formaldehyde and zinc, in an aqueous solution with GAA present (i.e. lower ph)

I have seen a post somewhere for amphetamine to methamphetamine using this method, but I cannot find it so if someone has seen it please link.

This is amazing as it saves making the ketone and then reductive aminination.....
Not that its related but P2NP > Amphetamine > Methamphetamine

This is not worthy of the Drug synthesis and extraction section. Please try to do some research on your own before opening a new thread. Next time please use the short question threed for such inquiries please.

Once I am sure you have read this reminder I will merge this with the short question thread for lack of a better place to put it.
