Have you tried zfone and googletalk?
« on: November 17, 2009, 12:26:03 AM »
Zfone works with google talk, the plugin for gmail. Better then encrypted phone calls is encrypted phone calls between two anon gmail accounts. Zfone works with other voip but google talk is just so easy. You are seriously like 5 clicks from encrypted voip googletalkin'. Some L-com/hyperlink high gain gear and you probably can sit in the comfort of your own home and abuse the AP of your neighbors or local coffee shop and be pretty untouchable. Close doesn't count!

Now if somebody here wanted to roll our own Vespiary edition BT3 live cd I wouldn't mind at all :), or BT4 when it is out of prerelease. I might even get around to it, but then I am probably not the one people would or should trust to build ;)

Make sure the drivers are sorted before buying gear for aircrack. My equipment injects better with old kernels and patched drivers. New school is kernel integrated monitor mode. Your situation could be and probably is different.

Remember, expensive short leads and less connectors. Better to stuff a cheap computer in the attick and have it serve then run 15ft of pricey$$$ low loss coax.

Sorry if the linux and wifi stuff clouded the point.

As heisenberg said, with these two free pieces of software, googletalk plugin and zfone, you can make free encrypted gmail to gmail phonecalls or videophonecalls for free. Even better that you can make these free encrypted phonecalls between two gmail accounts with made up info... almost totally anonymous. Do this from cybercafe to cybercafe and you are super clean. Or steal wifi, your choice.

I only uploaded the software because first, I fear that cool shit like this will one day just disappear once some christian right natzi sees a blurb about it on tv in between smoking meth and boffing his rent boy, and second, the web page has some stupid email confirmation shiz that might spook those of us chased by tree ninjas.

Like I was saying, this also works with other voip, but the free computer to computer ones tend to suck and you have to mess with softare and sign up for shit free service from some provider. Skype doesnt work. Gmail is fast as shit and most computers I have touched already have googletalk in them.

You can sniff packets and see that they are being encrypted. Could properly motivated men in black save the whole stream and bang away at it for long enough to listen? Given enough time you can carve the grand canyon with water, but they would just bug one or both ends first.

Remember, this only does the audio. Chat and vid not included. CHeck www.gnupg.org . There is chat in there somewhere.
