HBO film - Black Tar Heroin: The Dark End of the Street
« on: May 07, 2010, 07:34:45 AM »
This is an HBO documentary from 1999 that films the lives of several heroin addicts from 1995 to 1998.  It's been a while since I've seen this movie but something reminded me of it.

While anyone making a film like this obviously has a point of view they want to express, what I like about it is that it doesn't feel like an opinion is being forced down your throat the entire time you watch it.  It's not necessarily the most enthralling movie in the world, but it's definitely worth watching once.

hmmm heroin killed my brother.
2 weeks later something really bad happened, in fact my brother's neighbor mentioned something about something missing, dissapearing.
well shit happens i just explained it was his best interest to not say much.
it's really devastating my use has been limited to chipping, but it's easy to cross an invisible line to where your life becomes as fucked as in that documentary.
the bad part about it your totally unaware of of how shitty you look, and how far in the toilet you are.
it is like a fire that cannot be controlled.
