Charmin Filter For Dummies (super-fine filtration)

I just thought it was about time someone did a pictorial guide on how to make one of these things. Some people can be incredibly difficult to explain visual things to verbally (or maybe i'm just useless at verbal descriptions or very good at getting an image of a thing being described). |

You can also get some cotton from your local drug store, grap a chunk, pull it apart a few times and stuff it in your funnel. Works great for filtering drying agent. |

I think we should rename this type of filter to a 'TAMPAX' or CAREFREE' filter,
as that is what it reminds me of, but I have a strange thought pattern. |

cotton doesn't filter as well as toilet paper. i have used both to filter carbon before and only the charmin filter leaves it clean.
lurker4711: if it's not working for you it may have something to do with the particular way you are folding it or the paper itself. |

I would recommend the use of cheap white toilet paper, rather than the charmin brand.
The beauty of two sheets of plain white toilet roll, rolled into a spliff shape and pulled through the funnel, then topped and tailed.
Look at how clear the filtrate is
