Secure anonymous donation method ala Wetdreams:

Alright, the U.S. mail system is actually fairly secure....provided you don't leave trace evidence. But in reality, that shouldn't be a problem, assuming you trust the site and the people running it(which by the content of the site, i think you do)
All first class mail requires a warrant to open (this includes priority mail)
So take your blank money order, jack a few of the first class envelopes from your post office, shove it in there, pay from home, leave fake return addy.
Or a real one, it really doesn't matter in this case.
No worries about interception along the route, so if you trust the sender, Priority is the cheapest and most effective way to ensure a money order gets where it has to go.
So if you wanna be REALLY paranoid, wipe it down before hand, slather your fingertips (or other identificatory areas) in something that'll smooth em out (think glues, that nuskin shit, etc) and send away.
What are we looking at syn? |

see:
Dedicated servers in europe with 100gb+ transer could be had for 70-150USD a month. But still, the best solution might be to have someone reliable to set up a encrypted server and host the forum. It doesn't require more than a cheap PC and a ADSL/cable connection.
Some sites I've found:
http://www.rackcheck.com/dedicated/index.html (from 59EUR p/m, inc 600gb traffic)
http://www.nethat.com/dedicated_hosting.php
http://www.t-hosting.biz/
Sure, it's not cheap but it's far from 300USD.
And yes, if I found Synthetikal to be a forum I visited regularly (which I think it can evolve too) I would have no problems in contributing to server costs regularly. Where I live, bank transactions can be done anonymously so the only identity that has to be reveealed is for the one who receives the money (and that's already done here, when you get the payment for the advertisement). I'm not interested in donating 100USD per month, but let's say thats the total cost and we have 100 active members then everybody just have to donate 12USD to keep the server running for a year. That's a sum almost everybody can give up.

I'll make a promise right here and now that if somebody can do some research and get us a good offshore server, I'll bust my ass boning up on board security, ssl, etc, and make this thing bulletproof. Hell, I'll even send off fifty or a hundred bucks. You said you wanted a counter that displays how close we are to the next month's rent? If we get that far, that's gonna be a cakewalk.
That said, is there anyone on this board experienced with SSL and/or phpBB? I've only used them, and never really developed in either (but I learn really fast ). Anyone who wishes to contribute their knowledge in computer security is more than welcome here. Drop me a PM; hell, if you're experienced and interested, you may just find yourself with Moderator status. |

What about a support site?
That makes the bread for this one. |

I'm new here, but i was around a bit back @lycaeum forums, etc. back 5 or 6 years ago...(whatever--I'm getting beside the point)..I could probably locate some good advertisers that A)would be sympathetic to certain, shall we say "idiosyncratic" aspects of this effort?, B)would prolly be more relevant to the demographic than whatever generic google ads, and C)would @least dampen the blow (financially speaking) of running as presently configured, if not even provide the means to seek hosting outside the BOUNDS of our "wonderfully free" commune, er I mean country (sieg heil!)...just lemme know w/ a msg or whatever (and I'll give you my regular email addy--that I actually check on a daily basis--to expedite the process).
...but by all means--continue with the donation inquiries and research as well... |

| I am missing the answer on the question why Google stop advertising/paying. Or did I just overread it? |
