Massive Changes @ Synthetikal - ALL MEMBERS READ THIS!

As of last week, synthetikal has decided to (as part of a one month trial) keep the board free from adds,
Yes, you heard right, all the adds have dissapeared from Synthetikal, for one reason or another.
But amongst all the fanfare and tribulation, there is an agreement that all of us must keep,
If we no longer have adds, then who will pay for the server?
As many members have pledged to us, and already have donated in the past, the race is now on to see if we can survive with no adds, and just regualar donations from all members,.

Regular , being the key word here.
You must sincerely ask yourself, do you like synthetikal, and how would you feel to see it go down because of lack of funding,
Has Synthetikal benefitted your life, and if so, would you like to contribute to it future, and longevity?

Since the adds are no more, and the money for the server is coming out of my pocket for the last time, we have exactly one month , 25 days to show your loyalty to synthetikal,.
The bottom line is , if no one pays, then we go down,
I think we(all the contributing members) have kept our end of the bargain, and put a hell of a lot of hard work into this site, to get it the way it is now,
So I ask all members, if you love synthetikal, then now is your time to show it,.

It is not as easy as you may think running a board of this calliber, many of our founding members have either mysteriously dissapeared, or are serving time, It takes a great deal of balls to stand up to all the forces, that would really prefer us not to be around,.Even though we strive for legal representation, and acceptance, the fight still goes on.

I think I have covered everyting, and i will be as sad, as all the members that love this site, to see it go down, as it would truly be a tragedy,.

We listen to what all members have to say, and we all have built this site together,
There is not one person that has done this alone,.

The time has come to put our money into action, and protect what we have made,

Welcome to Add free Synthetikal, I hope we will see you all next month, and many many decades to come,

I have always thought, and will always continue to believe that we have much to do in respect to the validity of hobbyiest chemistry, we are up against a very hard fight for acceptance, it is not the socio-cultural aspects of the drugs that we are concerned about, as most law enforcing bodies seem to think, it is just the chemistry, that we care about, and to lift the suppression of its true wonders.

i like it without adds too, but if it means adds or going down i would go with the adds...

i don't understand, why did the ads have to go at all? if they paid for the server, they are allright with me. i found some nice links through them. i love synthetikal, but i don't find that there are a great deal of members around who are knowledgeable enough to help advanced scientists (no offence meant). in fact, since the trouble that IndoleAmine started, some bees really lost interest in this board. attracting more bees by being a good home should be the first and foremost task we all pursue right now.

I had no problems with the adds, either. I'm sure most didn't.

Im not trying to bee unfreindly here. but if we as a collective are going to have to pay for this then ok. But i would like to see some kind of current conter up at the top of the screen that shows how much we have paid as a group or how much we need to go. Like a tel-a-thon or something. Also how is the security issue looking on this? Are any of the people here at risk from prying eyes? I know if you go through paypal then they track everthing. Give us some more information.

Well, paying on a regular basis would be ok, but only for some off-shore server. If I get this right, the server is still located in the US - I dont mean to be paranoid, but would it be wise to give your identity away under these circumstances ? Maybee somebee can enlighten me about the security/anonymity issue ?

Paypal is no good. We need a secure, anonymous donation mechanism. The problem is, doing anything like this within the confinues of the glorious country of Amerika is just asking for trouble. They can, and will, trace the stream back to the source. We need something different, something new...

I know I've been looking into this, and a few others have as well, but we need to find our asses an offshore server. Seriously, bees, let's get on this. Compile some research, find a good one, and lets get this shit moved over.

Put the ads back on , business is business and the world adjust to changes. Pop ups to help float this web site are one of those new changes that people need to adjust to.

Well if we cant find anyone to sponsor us with ads then we will have to setup a donation system.

Syn, whats a $$ we are looking at per month to cover costs? and have you looked at other places to source advertising?
If we can find a secure anon way to donate then sure we can do it and im sure plenty of users will. I will.
