Extraction of methylphenidate from concerta solubility?
Wed Jul 20, 2005 8:58 am
I have som concerta 36 mg tablets.
I want the methylphenidate pure.
In concerta its a lot of shiit (its depot) and its also methylphenidateHCL
merck didnt even list the HCL complex. I have looked around, but i dont find a shiit about solubility.
Any experts that can look at the structure and say what you think, I am not sure but ithe MFHCL is probably water soluble?
How do you recommend me to do to get it pure?
I just thought extract with water, basify, extraxt with organic solvent, and then add HCL. But its really alot of shiit, I want it reasonable pure.
