Battery Acid

How could one seperate the lead in battery acid? and after doing so will this Sulphuric acid be usable for such things as extracting RP from MB's, thanks |

The only way you can seperate the lead salts would be distillation of the sulphuric acid, which is not easy because of the temperatures needed. Or you could just concentrate the acid till the salts fall out of the acid.
Sulphuric acid is not needed to extract RP from matchboxes, it is sometimes used as a final wash.
I have seen sulphuric acid packaged seperatly from the batteries (motorbike batteries) in an autostore (you add the acid to the cell when required), this would not be contaminated with lead.

Its about $8usd for a gallon and a half, at an auto parts store. |
