After much thought and consideration it seems it's time to leave, since there isn't any giving up of the server by synth, and as he prefers for this forum to go down or be used as he sees fit. I have tried to do what I can with whatever title, my work doesn't change, but is it wise to continue to refresh the links to the books and update reference files, with no assurance that the work will be around for members to use.

Many members have just stopped coming ......some still post but sadly few replies , I post what I can and ......well it just seems like it's time to leave and put my energies over at WD and the other forums that I know will be around to use the information.

I will visit here periodically to be of some help but will not maintain the reference section I will miss the work we all put into this but synth would rather have it go down than give us a chance to keep it going. I will be found at WD as Java or sciencemadness as Solo, if I can be of any assistance.............java

I was reading some of the story over at science madness although i dont visit that place often. something about synth getting sloppy and leaving all his personal details lying around and trying to make a profit out of the website. then i read about every ozz bee getting their house raided and that the only reason the board is up now is because it is being run by undercover police.

That's the story synth gave to cover his mis-deeds, now he hog's the server access , so we can't be sure of anything, but haven't herd from any Ozz bee being busted....it's all a story . There was much work put here but he would rather have it go down with him holding the server access......java

Well, Java summed it up pretty well. I'm still doing backups and deleting duplicate posts, but that's about it. I mean, really, if Syn wants to go and be a dick (which he did), he can keep the access he has and we won't be able to get anywhere with this (and we really can't). As far as I can tell, we can maintain what we have, but grow no further (as a site, not the information it contains). Hell, I've got loads of ideas that I'd love to implement; new toys for you guys to play with and to enable consolidation of all this wonderful knowledge. How about a hobbyist chemistry-based Wiki paired with an equally powerful forum? Sound nice? Well I can't fucking do it.

I'll stick around for the duration (well, I have so far...), but when the servers go down, and I'm sure they will at some point, I'll get to work on editing the DB. Once I've gutted it down to threads, posts, and usernames (dumping all the PMs, user details, blah blah blah), it will be made available for public download. I'm sure SM and WD will mirror it, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

It was a fun ride, guys. I'm glad you could all come with.

Crying or Very sad

Primathon out.

i would just like to let you guys know how much everyone respects and appreciates all the work you have put into this forum,as well as how you have acted when the shit(well when syns shit) had hit the fan

the job youve done on the revival of the hive archives and all the ebooks gathered may have just triggered a new generation of bees to be spawned,so keep this in mind.you made a difference.

see ya somewhere else

daeron out(his mind)

oh and right now i cant possibly imagine whats going through that fucked up mind of hellmans,he might as well be a dea agent...no in fact i have more respect for a dea-rightwing-bush-votin-my-iq-is-lower-than-room-temp agent

You know home is where one makes it ....i have been putting some time at WD as it's getting much better and more bee's are there trying to make the best of it, drugs-forum has also has bee's but many have left and are ending up at WD .
Give it a try I have been working to make a well stocked book section and there are many advanced chem topics but then there is no place like home......the Hive.........java

SWIM didnt participate in the old wetdreams and even went cold on the hive for a period (due to computer access issues). Obviously alot of people try their luck at creating chat boards for various reasons. But the new WD site looks like it will become a central resource for beez. I mean they even through in some free games so that place is pretty neat.
